I'd been buffing, using aluminum cleaner, trying anything to get the cloudy (oxidation ?) off the trim piece between the doors. No joy. Just for the heck of it I wiped on the poly. Presto ! 90% better !
Wipe on beats trying to spray clear coat, which would be the same idea. Can't claim it's a perfect fix either.
I want to know how the factory did a finish that isn't chrome, and you can't buff it or even through it to discover what the coating (shine) is.
