Thermo-tome switch or temp sensor?

Gang,

This picture is of my thermostat (1980 3.5 liter Euro) housing from above. As you can see, there are two bolts and one connector with two connections on it. My daughter's 528i has several parts screwed into the housing; thermo-time switch, temp sensor, etc. But the only one I see on my housing looks like the temp sensor. Am I right and if so WHERE is my thermo-time switch located? And if this is the TT switch, then where is my coolant temp sensor?
