Yep, looks like thermo switch.... as the temp sensor is only a single wire...
Where is temp sender?? For euro 3.5 engines it should be right next to this thermo switch in the thermostat housing. I bet it was there (as the holes are now plugged) So look around a PO (or importer) might have put it in the block etc...
