I think I would be right in saying that the e28 is the best source.Someone once transfered the electric seats and controls from an e28 to a 76 e12.Dashboards are interchangeable for sure.
The later e34 and e36 are just too different in design to raid interior parts off,except fot front seats.Then again there are far easier sources for sports seats,like the e23 or 6 series.
