I'll be picking up my 1979 528i in the next couple of days, and one of the things interior-wise that I'll need to take care of will be the headliner. It only has a small rip by the RR door, but I can see that at some point it should be changed. Has anyone done this and what kind of nightmare did it entail? The seats are rotted as I've said in my other post, but I can borrow a Recaro LS from my brother (he's used it as a house chair for 20 years) for the driver's seat for now. I have a perfect Skai-blue interior from my 1975 2002 parts car I can trade for the 528i, plus the front seats from my 1974 2002, since I got 320is Recaros that I put in the 2002, for trade. Thanks for the tips on the purchase and on this question.
