What shape are the speakers in the car in question? Are they oval or round? I wouldn't have gotten 5.25s in mine without removing the metal. I'm glad I did though. Carpeting the back deck was easier than I expected and came out nicer than anticipated. One unique thing about these 4x6s is they come with grills. Most don't. There is a ppi "bug" logo in the box for each speaker grill if you want to use them. I am a fan of using the biggest speaker possible, especially if it is round. I also like voice matching speakers but then I would probably suggest let me order you some more ppi 5.25s. They would be about 50 bone.
BTW I also have pictures ifyou are interested. I even have a pair of 6.5" carbon fiber components with outboard 12db/octave crossovers. Only $115.00
