My rear deck went on the Slimfast program when I acquired it. The back seat sheet metal is no longer. Amazing- about 30 pounds of sound deadened shtuff. I like the sound of my exhaust anyway. Then on the deck itself I cut circles around where the speaker recess is located about 1.5" larger diameter. At no time did I ever notice anything detrimental (or changes) to the handling of the car with my butt. Maybe long term but I doubt it.
