Make sure you get the coolest running thermostat for the 78 e12 .Also make sure you have the correct Water pump insatalled.There's if I remember 3 types. I don't know if you have a new stock Radiator or not,But don't be like other thinking that a bigger or 3row will cool the block better.It's what the pump does not the air flow."really" You can have the stock radiator and hook up your stock Auxillary fan to startup at a certain Temp. The fan starts up when the AC is on ,But you can make it run without the air on also.Hope things go well.My 78 is really running nice with the new Electronic ignition from Crane .NO more points and now you can't even feel the car idol. It's not far from being able to remove the smog related crap from the car :) It's just been sitting covered up in the garage.I do take it out for a Sunday run though.Maybe by next year it'll have 124.000 miles on it.!!
