Did a bit of searching, No tag on the LSD I got, and the "open" one on the car has NO tag either. Found some good info in the "BIG BLUE BOOK"(bmw repair manual). The gears that are in the diff(pending no one has been in there) are clearly stamped on the housing right under the side filler plug. My LSD has "S" and "11 40" stamped into the housing, hence making it a 3.64 After I remove the grime on the one in the car I will know if it's a 3.46
Anyone have a 3.64 in their E12? I want to know how high the RPM's will be at 70MPH in 5th? More noise? Don't want to sacrafice smooth highway driving for a bit more "go" off the line, but will most likely put it in an give it a go.
