Strut Tower Cross Brace

I have been thinking about adding a Strut Tower Cross Brace, but I am Curious about a couple of things. A friend of mine races a Bavaria and he uses a brace he made,he said it was a lot stronger the way he made it. It is of course not pretty, but it could be painted and it is made of steele tubing instead of aluminum. He designed it to go between the strut towers and then back to the firewall from each side. sort of an inverted pi symbol. He said that was to decrease flexing in hard stops when the front end dives it wants to fold up. I have been thinking about this but I am worried that trying to bolt something like this in would prove to be more trouble than it is worth.

I have also been thinking of an adjustable Strut Brace.Something on the order of a Tierod en type adjustment. Two halfs with a center collar that would allow the rod to be lengthened or shortened depending on the caster adjusters.

Any thoughts or ideas would be valued.
