No substance here, just a kwik note.
My new engine fired on the first crank, I was, and am, very relieved, as I have never put an engine in a car before.
In case you are interested, a list of a few of the mods done to my car recently.
3.5l engine, block is out of an early seventies 3.0cs
head is out of an e28
exhaust is from a euro 635
radiator is from a e28
still fiddlin with some adjustments.
for those of you who might be interested, the fellow who built my engine and who has guided me through many a sticky wicket had a pretty nifty idea for modifying the stock fuel pressure regulator to get a little more pressure. Without getting into the details, you carefully crush the regulator in a vice, which, in turn raises your fuel pressure. I have some more details if anyone is interested. As it turns out, I am not going to do it, I have an adjustable unit on the way, but its an interesting idea. And its free.
