He's right! Some e12's would backfire and damage AFM door. Some doors just stick. Reach you hand in the AFM and slowly stroke the door open and close. Exciting, huh?

: I experienced something similar, although not to the degree you mention. The proble with mine was that the air flow meter was sticking; I removed it and filed down the interference (the flap was rubbing on the inside) and then WD40'd it. The problem went away and hasn't come back.
