:HELP! I too would welcome any experienced cylinder head installers opinion (you see I'm just book smart really!)
I installed a fresh, reputable reblt. cylinder head on my 1qt oil / 250 mile car -and she still smokes like before!maybe WORSE!
I have always been warned that buttoning up the top end can make the oil pass the rings instead, but The car is just too damn quick for me to beilieve the rings are roasted!
I haven't done a compress. check, but it's smoother, quieter, and as quick
but the novelty of blue smoke has really worn off.
Will this get any better over the next 1000 miles maybe (yeah, right!)
any experience with this phenom. would be really welcomed!
I have yet to calculate present oil consumption, but it SMOOOOKS oh so blue down all the hillies!
(great for gettin' back at those left lane bandits tho!)
Thanks!
Paul
