No rust, minor knicks and dents, no color change: first class, like new, quotes start at 3 grand. Black is the pickiest of all colors to shoot and maintain.
But if you have seen his work, what do I know ? Will he get crabby if you stop by every day to note the prep progress ? Once it's shot, that's it.
