You get what you pay for. That phrase always echoes true after the fact.
There has to be a reason he's willing to work so cheap.

I had a roundabout quote from Don Dethlefson of "The Werkshop" (his 60's coupe
was featured in Roundel like 2 issues back, he runs a BMW resto shop here in Chicago).

For a full repaint in the original Saphire Blau Metallic and fitment of euro bumpers,
M535i airdam, and taking care of any small rust issues and dings, he said $6K. That
doesn't include parts (i.e. the bumpers and airdam). Pretty expensive? Yep, but you
get what you pay for from a place that has '02 turbos and E28 M5's in there for work
among other goodies. I haven't spent the money yet as I don't have it. Stay tuned, though.
