If you look at euro M30's from 1982 to 1985 they used L-jet but with the later 1 piece manifold. I have seen this manifold used on Metric Mechanic 3.8L with good results.
I have heard these are great manifolds for bigger sixes (3.2 to 3.8). The later motoronic (89 on) manifolds have runner ends do not match up well with the eariler heads, different port shape. The manifold and head is a matched pair.
