Gas mileage with 3.5 liter L-Jet

Gang,

What kind of mileage are you getting with the 3.5 liter L-Jet setup? I took a road trip last weekend and only got about 18 MPG in all highway driving. Seems like I should get better than that; although, I was admittedly driving with a heavy foot. In town, I'm only getting around 10-12 MPG, but that's short trips, 100% in town driving.

I just think I should be getting better than that. Am I wrong?
