I'd be sticking with L-jet. I may not be the most efficient, but it sticks with the period of the car more than the new-fangled computerized stuff.

So, given an L-Jet fed engine, and not wanting to spend over $5K (and preferably cheaper), what configuration would you recommend? Balance the whole bottom end? Hot cam? Port and polish head? Do the high comp pistons in the 3453cc engine make it the best ticket? My goal is a free revving, high HP producing beast. Its a given that the larger displacement is going to produce butt loads of torque. I'd like to keep the HP in line with that, maybe in the 230+ range if that's attainable. The car won't be driven more than a few thousand miles a year when it gets to this point so engine longevity as a daily driver isn't a concern.
