Around here (Minnesota) there always seems to be three choices: 89,90,92,...but the experts always confuse me with all the scales, conversion equivalents. 528's (30's) don't have paricularly high compression ratios...
I've run the middle for a long time and never heard a ping (stock tune - up), but now the price for the high...is low. If price matters, run a couple gallons and listen for the crunchy piston noises. If none, proceed. If you hear pinging, add the next higher. (Make sure your timing is correct)
