Not the 22R... threw me off. The 15 valve engine has quite a following and I know it came in MR2's and special Corolla's.... a little hatchback that simply said 16Valve on the hatch lid. Here is a link to a site showing these engines to be made to produce 400+ horsepower... There is another site on the internet showing an install in a popular home-built from UK called the Low-Cost... a takeoff on Lotus. I agree,,, that would mess your pants for you. Especially in the 400+ HP variant.
