I think you are talking about the bushings just inboard of the front tow hooks. They support the forward end of the strut that attaches to the lower control arm. I used a large eye bolt and pry bar to replace mine. Place the eye bolt through the bushing and place a nut on the threads. Put the pry bar through the eye of the bolt and against the subframe for leverage. Use vicegrips to keep the eye bolt from slipping on the lever. This worked for both removal and installation.
