We used it on bolts to prevent them from gumming up.
I know that crap was bad for me, but it was a question
of coating 200 8-32 high torque bolts with a freakin
eye dropper, so it got sloppy. We also used it on larger
bolts. The main reason these things would gum up is
that the beamline had to be baked out, many times.
The continuous hi-temp heating pretty much turned similar products
into fasteners or vapor, like Teflon. This Moly stuff really
handles heat. I don't think it has cleansing properties, that is
the high temperature's job.
