I managed to condemn the aux air valve today. With the RPMs up around 1800 and the idle adjustment screw under the TB all the way in, I placed a plastic baggie around the TB air outlet port and VIOLA! Idle around 400. I then adjusted the idle up to about 650 and she purrs! I have ordered a new valve from BavAuto for $65. They are the ceapest I have found BMP wants $95, the dealer $150 and BMA $75.
BTW, what is a good valve gap adjustment for these motors. I used 0.010 inch on my e28 535i. And is there a good way to turn these motors when adjusting the valves? Thanks a bunch!
