I am thinking of selling my 77 530i. It is a fun car, but I am looking for something a little more economical (mileage wise). You may have seen the car for sale on the classifieds a while back. I have put a month or so of getting it buttoned up and finished (mostly) The car has the following:
3.2 motor
cam
mallory/msd electronic ign.
stahl headers
custom radiator
MM close-ratio 5-speed (close 1-4, od 5th)
Korman-built finned M3 diff. with Quaiffe
Dinan stage 4 suspension w/ strut bar (freshened Bilsteins)
Big brakes all around (cross drilled R, slotted F)
SS brake lines
carbon graphite pads
Electric Recaros, driver's heated
New 215/60 Comp.T/A hr-4's
Stock wheels and 14x7 BBS basket weaves
MM short shift kit
Custom dual power mirrors and dome lights
Cibie/h-4 lights, Hella foglights
A/C blows cold
The only issues are cosmetic. There is clearcoat peeling on the trunk and pass. side, ultra violet damage to rear seat-top and corner of pass. side Recaro. A dent on the hood (smallish) from a branch falling on it.
The car runs great and handles very well. The recaros adjust every which way and are very grippy. As stated, I would consider parting it if noone wants to buy it. It is hard to sell, but The fuel mileage isnt good for someone like me. I drive a lot around here and am on a limited budget. I am located in N. california. I am looking to get $3500 for the car.
