Seriously though , I think we can dredge up an auto horror story about just about any make/model. However , it wouldn't be out of line to say that on average BMWs are reliable cars , and , on average , have fewer assembly line defects and wear/tear problems than US cars. There isn't anything fundamentally wrong with any e30 , except the rear anti sway bar mountings tend to be weak. Have a look at that when checking out second hand cars.
