Don't know what carb you may have on your car, because I don't think we never saw carbs on these cars in the US. However, it's possible you have a solex, or one of the other carburetors, which were used here in the US, on the earlier series 2500, 2800 and perhaps the Bavaria. Get your carb make and model numbers and check the Senior Six board at www.bimmer.org (E3 series cars). Otherwise you will need to rely on cars that shipped to other countries with carburetors. You also should be able to find carburetor rebuild kits for most of the older carbs as long as you can be specific on your model designation. Carb rebuilding is a fairly easy DIY task.
