I've come to expect that the switch to open the sunroof will never work. Even the allen key that comes in the toolkit is a pain in the a$$. So I drilled another hole thru that piece of plastic. Instead of using the allen key that came with the car and making small little turns before having to reinsert it to make another small turn only to see the roof slide one inch ..I got a set of allen wrenches that fit into a slotted handle. So now I don't have to remove the key to make little quarter turns horizontally. Now I just spin the straigh allen wrench vertically which enales me to close my roof in 1/10th of the time it took me the other way. My headliner should stay a little cleaner too since I'm not having to part it to accomodate the offset allen key for 20 to 30 little tiny turns. I just love those little quick fixes that alleviate such dumb little problems.
