i replaced the ignition switch (electrical side) today, using the one out of my '80 euro car to put into the '81 us-spec car. the '81 harness had two additional wires that went to a relay on the steering column itself, up near the steering wheel, and then down to another relay under the dash. they looked stock, so, what were they for? the '80 ignition harness works fine. were the relays and wiring for some safety equipment mandated in '81?
