Could be although it could also be transmission input bearing or clutch throwout (release arm) bearings.
How's the gear oil level in the transmission?
Pilot bearing only turns when clutch pedal is pressed down (crank shaft turns, trans input shaft doesn't).
If those aren't the conditions look elsewhere.
