Ok, when I measured the volts across the coil I got 3Volts, it jumped to 4.5 when I cranked the engine. There is 12 volts at the battery, 12 volts entering the Starter motor, 7 volts going to the coil, and 10 volts at the postpositive lead when it was disconnected from the coil. Does this make any sense? What could cause the drop in volt accross the coil?
Thanks for your much appreciated help
Joel
