Look on the surface the battery sits on, front, right in the middle. If rust hasn't removed it, there is a little (10-12 mm) nut down there. The battery hold down is a goofy rod, bent over at a right angle at the top with a plate at the bottom.

If the nut is there, you get to wedge your head in between the headlight rear covers and the battery...to see to thread the rod in the nut like the rest of us. And don't try to use anything but the perfect fit, replacement battery to save money. The just as good imitations are always an eighth inch too big at the base, and the rod won't fit.

Strange but true; mine rusted out, but the battery guy insisted the Interstate battery was the best and exactly the right one. The dumb thing was bigger than the dead one, but fit. So good it can't move at all. No hold down required.
