Just finished a 1400mi. trip. I tuned up the car (76 530i) before I left(plugs,points ,wires etc.)Car ran great,80mph all the way.Now it has erratic idle and is missing...can I assume,since it wasnt done,that the valves need adjusting?What other checks should I do after adjusting the valves?Is there a procedure that is routinely followed under these circumstances?
