The 533i incorporates all the general improvements BMW were saving up for many years. The Bosch DME covering the fuel injection and ignition is worth having , as is the excellent HVAC system.
This car in new condition was about 1/2 a second quicker to 60 mph and 5 - 10 mph faster in top speed.
It also has BMW's check control panel and trip computer , plus I think all 533is had leather interior.
