My 528i Jerks while driving along under 4000 rpm.

What could be wrong with my car? I just replaced the spark plugs and it ran great for a while. Now, it runs like crap. It jolts out some power than it immediatly cuts back. You can't really feel the power kick in at the power band, it just revs really loud and goes no where fast. It also idles rough. What is wrong? What should I do?
