Custom Springs....May sound extreme.

When I used to do engine swaps, it was possible to have custom springs wound for the changing weight of the installed engines. You simply told the spring mfr the difference in weights. You could also specify the spring rate, or how the spring reacted during the first part of the compression. It's been a long time, but I checked with a fellow who currently does engine swaps about a swap I was interested in, and he mentioned that we would have to have new springs wound. Pretty matter of fact about it, as I recall. I didn't follow up. It was for a 350 Cu in Chevy in one of my e12's... Hmmmmm??
