Bim-what????
Anyway, Roger Wray from coupe list mentioned that Rustolium Aluminum spray paint topped with Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating does a great job and will hold up for a long time. You might try sanding minot scratches and divots first.
Someone on the list was able to duplicate Roger's success. So it's repeatable.
good luck
BTW, I used Wurth and it did a good job also.
: Hi Bimwads,
: I have the stock turbine style 14x6.5 wheels on my 1980
: 528i and they look pretty good, but I'd like them to
: look better. So, does anybody have any ideas on how I
: would go about restoring them to like new condition.
: Has anybody done this? There's a place locally that
: will do it, but they want $100 per wheel and I just
: can't see paying that much. I'd appreciate any
: thoughts anybody has.
: Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!
: Thanks,
: Jim
