Speakers in rear

Currently I have no speakers in my car. I will be running all new wires and would like to know if anyone had placed 6x9 in the rear? or not recomended (from some older post I read?) Or get 6" or 4x6 all around and a sub?

Let me know who is happy with their setup and what they have
