You'd have to cut the rear deck (generally a bad idea for structural/airflow/fume reasons) or build thick spacers (not real pretty) if you wanted 6x9s back there. Under seat is where I wanted to put mine but I just ended up with 4x6 all round. Definitely a sub in the trunk - a powered tube should work well and be relatively unubtrusive.
