I already have a replacement drain plug standing by. I tried the pipe wrench idea once or twice tonight, then gave up from the day's exhaustion (this morning I helped someone remove a 5-speed from a junk car). I will try the pipe wrench again tomorrow morning.

Is a torch OK to use on my leaky, oily oil pan? there's not any danger, is there?
