In 1982 due to service difficulties(?), the '78-on 'Euro' 3.5 liter (3543cc) changed to:
3430 cc (3.4 liter!)
10:1 compression
92mm X 86mm bore/stroke
DME w/mixture graph
same horsepower(218 bhp) and torque (224 lb-ft)
By comparison, the US 3.5 liter (actually 3.4!):
182 bhp @ 5400 rpm
214 lb-ft torque @ 4000 rpm
8:1 compression
3-way catalytic converter
NOTE:
36 LESS horsepower and 10 lb-ft LESS torque!
