The car has one of each.
The Ignition Control Unit (ICU) is for the ignition system and is mounted on the right side of the engine compartment forward of the wheel house.
The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is for the injection system and is mounted on the "ceiling" of the glove compartment.
Is there some doubt about which one your mechanic wants to replace?
