In extreme cases it's easier to remove the housing to heat, cool, oil, bang, and repeat process. You might try some decent penetrating oil then tap lightly with hammer on the side while trying to turn. The secret is don't strip the slot head by trying to muscle it off.
Once removed you can replace with newer style hex head type which you will go buy tomorrow.
I will often heat with torch and then try to tap and turn while it cools down.
If you use torch make sure your fuel lines are ok (if still on the car) and ALWAYS have fire extinqisher on hand!
