: As GREG has said, nothing impede us from getting together any time. However, when it comes to use the First Fives name for an official event, you have to prove your commitment, that it will be to elevate "our" name. A few members in the West Coast, Californians to be more specifically have initiated the motion to do a "regional" reunion. We know that due to our busy lives and circumstances, we may not be able to travel/drive to attend the one further from us.
: Also I have mentioned the work that is involved to put an organized event is quite "some", not a piece of cake. Not a walk in the park... I've expressed my admiration to Greg & Peter to give us the example on such challenge (Spring Fest).
: We have the opportunity to make this a reality and not just an idea. We have been in contact with BMWCCA officials from the Golden Gate and L.A. Chapters and both have been supportive with our intentions. As a matter of fact some own First Fives which is motivation for them to be involved. We have narrowed it down to a specific date and site, however need the COMMITMENT from the real enthusiast/supporters/members to provide a head count.
: The prospect date/site are: MARCH 3/18 &/or 3/19 at Monterrey, CA (The Bay Area as previously proposed).
: This is not limitted to Californians, but to all E12 fans willing but committed to particpate. The 3/18 date is a Car Control Clinic event, and the 3/19 an AutoX. Our intentions is to participate in one of the two and then do some other fun activities (scenic drive, tech sessions, raffles, etc.) If this doesn't excite you, perhaps you're not a real enthusiast (Sorry, just the reality)

While I like to think I'm a true enthusiast, I simply don't think I can let you know by the 6th if I can attend or not. I think I have an
already prior engagement in FL on that date (future inlaws?).
Anyway, if Greg S. and Peter F. want to fly to WA state instead of the bay area, maybe they could drive a couple of nice E12's to Monterrey?
That's an open invite.
