Fellow Fivers!

: It is/was not my intention to hurt anybody's feelings by me referring as to "real" enthusiasts. I know there are more than a few here. My intention is/was to survey if there's a serious interest to have such gathering. There are serveral transactions that need to occur before a meeting can take place (i.e. site reservations, permits, $$$).

: One of the interests has been to have a driving event. Why? Because is fun... However this requires a lot of planning. Most tracks are booked for Y2K, we have found such limitation. Therefore, we have the opportunity to be included in a pre-schedule event, consequently need the resonse from the crowds to determine if this will be made possible.

: We understand that is hard to commit way in advance, but there's not many options out there. No one is in a position to advance cash on behalf or the group, there's no refunds involved on this things. Neither we will approach vendors without having the assurance this will take place. We don't want to burn our resources... To "host" a more or less sizeable (50) event requires min $3-5K. Being included as a group on a pre-schedule one through a known organization (BMWCCA) is a priviledge and an great opportunity. However we need(ed) some commitment.

: Perhaps if MARCH is not appropriate, we can opt for other time. If Marina/Monterrey is not well liked, then we can opt for other place. We (the committe)are just trying to accommodate to what is feasible at this time.

: I really encourage you to consider attending, we promise a ton of fun. Before we compromise and release a public announcement, we need a fair number of participants.

: Hope this clarifies a bit my earlier message.
