Drove up to have a look at the supposed Alpina...
In my opinion... It isn't an Alpina car. It does
have a few trick parts though... 16; wheels are
a bit dirty but pretty good. BBS basket weave,
gold centers, outer rim needs polishing. From
what I could see under the car, it has some
"beefy" sway bars, maybe 29mm... Front and rear.
the Rear looks adjustable, but I was unable to
find any alpina markings. (Limited view as the car
is under a walnut tree and in some taller grass.)
According to some on the CS list the parts should
have casting of "alpina" on them... ???
Interior is pretty shot. Engine is apart and
looks bleak... rusted cam(w #4 stamping?), cracked
head, and standard fuel injection(in the trunk :))
All in all, it may have some good suspension
parts, good rims, an Alpina Shift knob, and....
it has THE RIGHT SIDE CHROME MIRROR!!! Sorry, I want
that PART!!! Also, NO alpina tags anyywhere...
I think that this guy WISHES it was Alpina....
I'm gonna offer him 350, pay the towing
and strip it for parts and then off to the scrap
with the rest. Anyone interested??? Body panels
seem good... If I don't get it I will let you know
