Hello, I'm installing a used set of bilstein HD's I got off ebay. The rears went in with ease, the fronts have taken longer, cash and the difficulty taking off the top nuts have held us back for a few months. But now that everything is apart I've found that the threaded collar that holds the shocks into the strut housing doesn't fit, it's too big. The shocks are set too high in the strut as well, they come up flush with the strut housing covering the threads. I know it seems obvious that I was sold the wrong front shocks, but if anyone knows what's up with this I'd realy appreciate the info. I'm kinda thinking that it might of come a 528e and that it's strut housings are just bairly different, but I don't know enough about that car. I apperciate your time.
