The early sixer is better than e28 variant by far

Better suspension, better brakes out of the box, about 250 pounds less electrical Krap to go wrong. My 77 even has no sunroof, giving that short roof line a cleaner look, with again, fewer issues. The minor issues like chipping and performance mods can be dealt with much easier than having a car that sits in your garage draining the battery from all the memory functions in the electronics. Thanks, but early six for me as well.

Regarding the brake upgrade question. Our stock brakes match or exceed most of the e28 upgrades you read about on the other forums. I doubt if e23 will have many interchangable parts... much different car in the suspension area. Had three and didn't find much that would transfer over. I would never even consider a VERY cheap e23 as a parts car for an e12, Except for an 88 engine.
