looks like (fingers, toes and anything else we can find crossed) that i may have solved my elect gremlin!!!
someone mentioned doing a load test on the battery and the more i thought about it hte more it seemed wrong htat a large battery like that can go dead flat in that time....nothing on a car can draw that kind of power right???
so (being the broke, cheapscate i am) i did my own "load test"
this basically involved putting my cd player directly onto hte battery, with a voltmeter. in less than a minute the voltage dropeed from 13.46 to 13.1
this to me was enough of an indication and hte battery (only 2months old) was returned under warratee.
with the new batt, i have left the car sitting for 2days at a time and it fires first shot every time :)
such a nice feeling.
i am now progressively reinstalling all my elec components/fuses and seeing what difference it makes.
ill let you know as i find out.
just like to say a HUUUGGEEEE thanks to all those that posted on this and helped me through it. i definately would have sold the car off to the wreckers in a day ifi didnt have all of your suggestions!
thanks again guys. me and the bimmer owe u one ;)
