OK, ok. So I know our E12's are probably not the platform of choice for towing things, but I've got the need. I'm planning on going starting motorcycle road racing in the AFM series staring in a few short months, and would like to outfit my '79 528i with a hitch in case my primary (friends) tow vehicle is not available. The tongue weight would not be much, *maybe* 500 lbs. and the total weight of the package would be at most 1000 lbs. Has anyone here ever set this up?
I've already got a good line on a flyweight trailer, just looking for mounting advice.
