About 4 months ago I began to notice a slight hesitation when accelerating from 1st to 2nd to 3d. It was like the ignition was skipping a bit from 2000 rpm to 2800 rpm. Anything in higher RPM's and no ill effects. I was perplexed.

The 2 weeks ago the hesitation suddenly grew into a stuttering with vibration coming from the driveline. Again the extreme vibration zone was 1500 rpm to 2500 rpm. Once in 4th and 5th gear the vibration would dimish to nothing. Sean aka Kaveman diagnosed "crumbled guibo syndrome". I parked the car until last saturday when I replaced the guibo. Voila! no problem anymore.

For some time I have been getting a whine in fifth gear. Sean also advised a tranny oil change. I replaced the old 10 ounces of tranny goo with 1.7 quarts of redline gear oil. No more whine.

Thanks - Sean !
